yesyesyes like mindy literally watched her girlfriend get murdered (brutally aswell) and we barely got ANYTHING from it like it felt like there was no impact on the overall story which sucks 💔

wait gjghkh going to expand on this because i have more thoughts now:
"tara is probably trying to forget that amber ever existed because it’s easier for her to erase all of her memories with amber than to acknowledge that she never really knew her bestfriend, someone that had been there for her her whole life. But no matter how hard she tries to move on, everytime she looks at her hand is a painful reminder as to what her best friend had done and no matter what that scar is never going to go away it’s the only thing truly tying her to amber. So because of that they’ll always be connected and she’ll always have to think about that first night (the opening scene)

Tara prolly sti texts Amber's number bc she wasn't ready for Amber to just did and be Ghostface like that so she texts the number acting like nothing happened but knows she'll never get a response 🧍♀️
she def did that for the first few weeks after everything that had happened.. she goes into amber’s dms out of reflex whenever she wants to talk about smth (even confronting her). on the other hand i can also imagine her fighting the urge to delete amber’s contact out of sheer rage but can’t even bring herself to bc of the happy memories they shared together through text 🥹

anyways ranting more about taras grief and more here bc it’s late and i have a lot of thoughts:
1. it pisses me off that the writers did NOTHING with the grief like this is all my interpretation(?) based on what LITTLE we got (tara mentioning wanting to move on). Because there is sooooo much more they could’ve donr but whatever
2 my tara did ballet when she was younger hc (mentioned it before but twitter limit sucks)
she started when she was 5 or something and sam would try to be there as much as possible to support her, amber was also there sometimes (mainly after sam left but tara quit right after bc shes sad) and tara would try to help amber when she fell AND then after amber got up they would giggle about it bc they’re having fun.
3. when sam first left tara would stay up all night waiting for her because in her mind sam always came back and she would this time aswell (spoiler she didn’t)
Because of that tara would get barely any sleep but it’s okay because she had amber (until she didn’t) and they would watch the barbie movies together to stay awake (amber didn’t think that sam was coming back but she did it for tara)

omgomg i love all of these ,, and HEAVY on the grief part. the scream franchise lacks on covering the characters going through grief in general though, so im not tooo surprised. i know they’re prioritizing the other stuff in their movies and that it can’t always be realistic all the time.. but it would’ve been nice to see mindy also mourn anika for maybe a few minutes? like, i can see why tara would suppress her emotions for amber. her best friend turned out to be a serial killer and it’s been about a year (however i’m not rlly saying that she would’ve got rid of all that grief in what i’d say a short amount of time) but i can’t believe mindy saw her own gf get killed, be sad about it for a couple minutes and then act like nothing happened? idk… i guess im too picky abt it bc i know they probably cant flesh a proper grieving scene with the limited screen time they’ve got but lordd. anyways, i love the barbie movies hc!!

i’m gonna be 100% honest - they most likely would’ve done something with tamber. like, even without being biased, i feel that chara was done as a trauma bond relationship - which btw isn’t me insulting the ship bc i do love them too. it’s just that chara were childhood friends for the longest so it would make sense for the two to get together rather than someone outside the group bc of trust issues and whatnot. but if amber was still in the picture as a good guy there’s no doubt in my mind that smth would’ve happened with tamber
