Everyone says high school math is useless in real life, when was the last time you did calculus to solve a problem?

Some months ago when I was researching about Uniswap and automated market makers (AMM) I felt the need to find the maximum profit when there is an arbitrage opportunity in such decentralized exchanges ...

hmm, sometimes i read mathematical derivations that include calculus when i read papers or parts of dissertations, but the last time I've actually solved something with calculus was probably about 2 years ago when I was in uni still

A year ago. I've my calculus book in my room I just hadn't had the time to open it and work through it 💙 oh... You've unknowingly unlocked my inner nerd... 🙈 thank you now I'll have to get my pencil and do some math

Okay, I’m going to let you into a secret here: I’m not exactly sure what calculus is. Either I’m that thick (very possible), or we called it something else in the UK (maybe possible). Either way, anything involving x+y and my brain shuts down.
