Probably a stuffed toy squirrel that you could wind up and it’s tail would move in circles to the music. It was given to me by my godmother. I didn’t play with it much. I coveted it for the sentimental value. Other than that I like things that I could create with or explore— so maybe a makeshift fishing pole made from a branch and a piece of fishing line and hook I had found. Maybe it was building forts or making things out of mud— or carefully observing plants and insects. My roller skates and bike took me places on the ranch or the vineyard. I climbed trees, drew and read lots of books. Things were so simple and incredibly satisfying.
I was gonna say an actual toy and then I remembered how much fun I had making jewelry out of bread ties. So now I'm like, "was it bread ties??"
Lego!!
I don't like toys
