Boomer question: is it wrong to think that the constant influx of fictitious violence in mass media contributes to some kind of desensitisation of people's feelings?

I don't think it does. When I've seen real violence (and I've seen it more than I like to admit) it triggers an anxious feeling in me and I assume others. If your brain is wired correctly you should be rightfully disturbed ny real violence
