Favorite Linux/UNIX/UNIX-like distribution? (unless you hate all of those). I alternate between different ones for fun.

Fedora since it's a pretty good balance between being up to date and being stable

Arch Linux, although it's not like I've tried out a lot of other distros
Maybe one day I'll try more of them...

I use Alpine everywhere, except on one desktop where I have Arch just to get around any missing/uncompileable software on Alpine. I guess Alpine would be my favorite, but I'm not that excited about linux/unix/whatever anymore so it's more of a "meh, it works well enough for me"

I don't know which is best, but I always use Ubuntu these days, just because it seems to be the most popular.

There are many good and bad things.
FreeBSD is nice if you have time to set it up.
I use Arch btw because it was the simplest for me.

I started out on debian based distros and never really left them alone. Currently, Ubuntu for servers, Kubuntu for my laptop
