By now I like both, but for the longest time olives mad me vomit and I loved pickles. Therefore, the do not necessarily go hand in hand.

Not a fan of olives but I love pickles. I can just about stomach olives on a pizza but can't eat them on their own. Pickles I could snack on like a packet of crisps.

Pickles are meh unless they're homemade. I don't like green or black olives, klamata olives are good on salads though.

I find both things disgusting.

I think green olives can have a big sour or bitter taste alone, I prefer black olives if I had to eat some pickles alongside.
