sacrifice and effort are reproducible, luck can't be forced. I'd value the former two, but I'd sure be more sad to waste lighting in a bottle.

The sacrifice would be worse because I’d probably not be able to get it back and it would all have been for nothing.

Difficult question. But I'd choose the former, as the losses are bigger

Definitely , sacrificed for. Because Sacrifice has a connotation of losing something in order to create something
