What does "I love you" mean?

To me it means, I love you. But I know people aren't always straight forward.

It depends on the context and the level of sincerity of the person saying it. Varies.

Affinity. Or sometimes it means "I want to get into your pants." Or sometimes I suspect people say it just because they're in a relationship and the other person says it and they have no choice but to say it back.

Also, according Neale Donald Walsch, often "I love you very much" actually means "I trade you very much." I guess that's likely because, like Sean said a while ago, people don't get into relationships unless there's something in it for them.

It is the verbal expression of a feeling that is caused by attraction, and an overdose of dopamine (brain makes its own addictive drugs). You might help those words getting out to the world by a good dose of nice drinks too.
Btw. I like this photo of you. You look again very kissable. I know I repeat myself.
