Nope, this is not how creativity works, but sure there is a momentum of unconsciousness involved since creativity isn't only rational.

I think there's an inspiration for it but can also be spontaneous, makes the best stuff
Today I made my first digital art piece and I had no idea what I was doing. I had inspiration at first ofc but some how step by step it was refined over
And over again eventually It was there and it wasn't what I wanted but actually much and much better.
That's true. When I'm colouring I do it by feel, any 'mistakes', I work it into the piece but when I sing or write I base it off inspiration in some form.
That's good, mate 👍. Art can really be a rewarding process and give some meaning or something to focus on during the down time.
