re anime openings and endings :
will have to revisit your answer and reply to it in parts
some I'm already familiar with but will still have to take a listen to again and some I'm not so familiar with but will have to make time to listen to them so I'll bookmark this question
in terms of Bleach , I will say that all the new openings and endings are far inferior to the ones of old Bleach
the ending for cour 2 is only good because of Rukia's bankai and because the lyrics actually fit both her and As Nodt's overall characters and story
something I dislike about the new Bleach openings and endings is that some of the artists have made far better songs for other anime
did a terrible opening for cour 1 but then gave this great song that actually builds into something good and gets catchy

I guess that's more because he's a growing artist that he could then deliver something better
ha , Bleach was like a test subject in this regard
plus his voice fits far better with the tone and world of Jujutsu Kaisen
on the other hand , she did amazing work for another show's both opening and ending and then gave a song simply just missing that special something for the ending of cour 1
I think it's because she was probably exhausted and didn't have much else to give from her soul at that time for that year - which was otherwise a phenomenal year for her and she gave everything she had in these , the 2nd one being my favorite

I only watched the TYBW Bleach OPs/EDs once and all I got from them was that Rapport is SO MUCH better than Scar and it's disappointing because I used to listen to Tatsuya Kitani much before he even approached Bleach and Scar is such a let down.
The others aren't even worth mentioning in my opinion, they are super forgettable but I am flabbergasted at the fact that Bleach managed to make a song composed by Sawano Hiroyuki so... bland. I've always liked his songs because whenever he works on soundtracks the lyrics are deeply tied to the story and its characters and for some reason his song with Senna Rin is so... hollow. It's even worse when I came to know him through Owari no Seraph and Mika's and Yuu's songs hit so hard and then all he composed for 86? Bleach's sound like he was handed TYBW, realized it was empty and did whatever he could going by vibes alone.
