Theres something stalking you in the dark you dont know the strength of said creature or how fast it could go, do you either: Run away, Put up a fight, See if you can "Out-scare" it, or some other action?
this is a VERY interesting scenario.
I'd rather know more about this "creature" before acting but Im guessing that's not an option.
If I know I'm being stalked and they don't know they've been noticed then I got the element of surprise. I think I'd try losing it first. or analyze them more. maybe ambush it instead.
