Every time I see an US home on insta people have their clothes scattered across the floor..... is that a real cultural habit or just a sarcastic insta stance?
It's not a habit, it's the law
Some people do that. We at least put them in a basket or hang them up.
Both
idk, I've been to a few other people's houses in my life, and I don't remember there ever being clothes scattered across the floor. I think the default is general cleanliness. I have some clothes in a pile on my floor, but only because I don't have an extra hamper for the dirty ones.
It's been a long time since I've been in someone else's house, though, maybe things are different with the younger generation, idk.
