What brings you comfort?
I don't want to get too comfortable, then I'll have to worry that I'm dreaming, in a coma, or dead or something. And then that'll be a whole thing. 'cause I feel like being alive and (at least sort of) aware comes with a constant feeling of varying degrees of discomfort, and most of existence is spent trying to mitigate that or just survive it. And that's just one of the reasons why I have a cat! His toes are cute, his purrs are sweet. Really, the whole rig is great (well, not the frequent butthole exposure so much, but every peach has a pit).
What's really cool is that it's not one-sided. I think he also finds me comforting. Unless I'm vacuuming or worming him, or something... I do those things so he can be more comfortable AFTER the initial terror and deep feelings of betrayal have subsided, though.
Anyway, surprise, my answer was "my cat", but I took the long way around to waste more precious time.
The stars in a clear night.
