I'd love to know more about the redwoods!!!!
darcy-- "April was born between Ruben (fox dad) and who used to be her mom (a pitbull-brown lab mix). Ruben and her mom got divorced due to parenting differences and general emotional disconnect from each other, frequent fights, ect., after which he was able to be a lot closer to April and quickly realized he was in love with her! When she was 5 he got her pregnant, and she gave birth to Olivia, (back then- "Ollie") a silver fox, when she was 6. Ruben, of course, fell in love with Olivia literally right away.. hehe"
april is rubens princess. see demands constant attention from him and he gives it extremely enthusiastically. he could be viewed almost as a butler to her if it weren't that he was also a massive pervert. he gets equal much in return to the ways that he spoils her and they both thrive off of obsession. they're not able to bring themselves to stop at any limit which is how olivia got born and they happily adopted her seamlessly into their lifestyle. what the redwoods do in our world seems reprehensible but is little more than "taboo" to them-
darcy-- "This is especially because we made this furry universe of ours specifically for comfort, so they have a lot more differences in things like laws or morals lol. This personally is aimed toward me because that's also what I find sexier is having a sense of realism, but happier and more indulgent"
the way me and darcy write parent-child dynamics is inherently playful in nature in the sense that both parent and child are on equal grounds, relationship speaking. growing and raising is not a trap in the context of the redwood familiy. april after the divorce becomes free from the trappings of childhood as does ruben become free from the trappings of husbandry. their love then becomes their own choice.
darcy-- "Olivia does have more of a struggle with this massive love her family has for each other because at times it can be overwhelming. she questions if she deserves such appreciation, and she struggles to relate to other people because of her unique experiences. This is why she goes to therapy- Ruben and April are there for her just as much as they use and play with her <3 Oh! I also want to add that April is not expected to act like a mom! Her and Olivia are more like sisters with the added bonus of her being her mommy as well. April is much too little and spoiled to do something so serious like that. Ruben will do literally anything to make sure they both have happy and indulgent lives."
