What's your favorite dinosaur and why?
Oh, man! That's hard! For childhood nostalgia's sake, I would say triceratops. I associate it with both Jurassic Park and Land Before Time memories. I also think it's a super cool dinosaur, period. Generally, ceratopsians are my favorite dinosaurs, be it trikes or others --I don't think I like trikes much more than other ceratopsians.
Another favorite of mine are carnotaurus. They're so dorky looking with their horns and their tiny useless little arms.
A more recent fave is paralophosaurus. I've been working on the beginning concept stages of a dinosaur novel and paralophosaurus will almost certainly be my protagonists' species. There's a gentle feeling to them that I really like.
But I could go on. I love brachiosarus, I love dreadnoughtus. I love raptors, t. Rex, and ankylosaurus. It's really hard to answer this question accurately because I love so many dinosaurs and I love them so much. When I went to Dinosaur World in Plant City, the giant models overwhelmed me so much that I started to cry from happiness and awe (this was two years ago.) I just really, really love them, passionately. Thank you for asking such an interesting question!
Oh wow, I'm an '83 baby too! What were your favorite shows when you were little?
If I go back to my earliest memories, I remember loving the original My Little Pony, Care Bears, and Strawberry Shortcake. But above all I loved The Smurfs, and also regularly read the original franco-belgian comics (in Spanish)!
