I wish for few things, it used to be "careful what you wish for" situations, but have gotten more purely advantageous over time. All indirect things that I couldn't affect via conventional means.

why do i feel like i can make wishes and they come true (tho backfiring a bit sometimes) oh my god am i in a coma and this is all a dream
Consciousness is, in my view, defined by the ability to visualize a state of the world you would like to see, then actualize it. Wishes are the first step in that process. If you mean by wishing and then not taking any action, then well, maybe you're falling for a fallacy? You pay attention to the wishes that do happen, and not the ones that don't.
