The shareholders lost billions during the course of the last days. Money that could have been invested and created new jobs.. and business owners and self-employed people face bankruptcy soon.

Yes clearly it is. The stock market fell 1,000 points just a few days ago, lots of layoffs because people are cancelling conventions and corporate events. It's disrupting a lot.
