Do you ever wear a face mask in public? Do you wear it to protect yourself or others?

No, I haven't worn any masks. I haven't left my home in almost four weeks so I haven't had any need to.

I haven't been out in public, but next time I do I'll wear a simple surgical mask. it is 100% to protect other people in case I'm an asymptomatic carrier. my attitude has definitely shifted on masks as the situation has evolved but in light of the CDC's recommendation and the number of people who are likely asymptomatic, it seems safer than not to wear one

I wore one when I visited the hospital. I know they're better for protecting others than protecting yourself, but I did it to protect myself..it's what little I can do.

Oh, I did wear them constantly when I worked as a nurse. We all forgot them like with glasses. I remember when I met some other nurses in the supermarket next to the hospital and we all had one. But we did wear them to protect our patients from our exhaled moist byproducts aka bacteria and viruses.

No, I'm not sure whether to bother, information is all over the place... For now I'm sticking with washing my hands and covering up if I cough/sneeze and the six foot rule

I don't. It seems like it's become more of a fashion statement recently though, I keep seeing people with these custom designed facemasks with pictures of cartoon characters or design patterns on them. From what I read they aren't doing anyone any good, the virus is spread throughout contact.

no, cos i dont have one and if i had one id do it to protect others. There is no evidence that masks who are not classified as FFP3 mask can protect you from an infection

Nah. Not going out in public much. But I'm thinking I'l start wearing gloves when I go to the shops.
