This reminds me of a programme I watched a few years ago about three women who worked - and earned a lot of money - on sex chat lines. The top earner was a woman in her mid fifties. She was a grandmother, a widow, totally ordinary, and spoke with a really strong Barnsley accent. She had built up a list of regular clients over the years, and chatted to them after they’d done the deed. She was paid by the minute and made about £30 per call - she once made £1000 on a single call! She was talking to men on her phone all over the place: in Tesco doing her shopping, sitting in her garden, at a friend’s house. But my abiding memory of her will always be her painting her kitchen with a roller while saying all kinds of things to a man on the end of her phone, and then saying (in a heavy accent), “Ooh, have you cum, luv?” My absolute hero!
That is a short term business model. Works only for a couple of years. I must therefore provide a hundredfold income to be competitive with a job that is more designed to support you for a longer time.
