Honesty Hour: A friend of yours has a desire to sell their old Pokémon cards and would be willing to give them to you for $30, you can see that there are some very valuable cards (worth around $500 in total) in their collection... what do you do?

Tell them and point them that way.

I'm not money oriented in so much its only a means to an end for me. I don't love money.

One reason why i married my current husband? My exes tried to control me with money - he doesn't have enough of it to be able to afford to do that

I buy them, then resell them at a profit. They don't need me to do their own due diligence.

If they have a collection I guess they must know the real value of it....right? Then if he still wants to sell them for that price ...I'll take them.

Buy them for 30, sell them for 500 and then give $100 to my friend saying that they had a rare card and I couldn't keep the money to myself. Total profit: 370 dollars and a happy friend

I mention that they may want to look up the value of those cards before they decide to practically give them away.

since it's a friend, tell them it's worth about $500 in total. the money is just as good in their hands as it is in mine.
