Roughly what percentage of stuff you own are things you commonly use?

Net worth speaking, 20% or so. Housing is expensive.
Excluding my apartment, public infrastructure, the equipment at work etc, reasonably close to 100%.
Public services alone would drop the percentage down to ppm levels, I use them all the time.
I guess we all own public infrastructure through the magic of taxation, but I'm basing this breakdown on sole property ownership.

idk, half? at least. I didn't realize how few things I had until my friend just moved in with me and she has about 4x as much stuff as I do

Actually, most of them! In the past few months, I've watched a few of Marie Kondo's episodes as well as exposed myself to minimalism and fast fashion documentaries. All of them have shown me the dangers of consumerism and hoarding habits. Overall, I got rid of a third of my total belongings in the past few months and it's honestly made a big difference for my state of mind and levels of peace and contentment.

My style of living is minimalist, nevertheless the things I commonly use are still only a fraction, like e.g. an estimate of about 20%.
