Is it me, or are Phoebe and Joey pretty much the only non-terrible people on Friends?

All these characters are roughly cut and for entertainment purposes exaggerated to lunacy. Phoebe though is so lunatic ( from an American point of view I guess ) that she seems sensible to me :D

I caught some eps of Friends on TV back in the day, but I didn't watch persistently enough to know the characters all that well. from what I've heard the show has not aged well tbh

They all irritate me to some degree—- especially Jennifer Anniston’s character. Not a fan of the show.

I guess sociopathy/being terrible people sells in comedy, the people in Seinfeld were terrible too.. that's how they all ended up in prison in the last episode after all. =P I guess it's no coincidence that Seinfeld and Friends were like the two biggest sitcoms ever.

Yeah I get what you mean...I didn't think they were 'great' people but to me the thing they have in common is that they're the most real - like they just kinda were who they were, cool with themselves, flaws and all - where the rest were just neurotic messes

Phoebe did cheat on that firemen and cop she was dating, but yeah I see your point. Also, if you've ever seen outtakes from that show, Mathew Perry is wayyy funnier than Joey. He should've been Joey!
