it's old, but Dead Like Me - the premise is that a young girl dies and is given the role of a 'grim reaper' type and has to be there to guide people to the next life BUT she still has to maintain a physical form and exist in our world (and get a job!) and there is a whole team of reapers and the show kind of centers around their interactions with the soon-to-be-deceased and the girl has her family issues and she deals with those (her new physical form is unrecognizable to people who knew her in life) anyways I am a bad explainer but the show is funny sometimes and sweet sometimes and always interesting, also Mandy Patinkin
