What's more important to you (e.g. what would you mourn over more if it were destroyed): Something you sacrificed a lot for, or something that took a lot of effort and luck to produce?

sacrifice and effort are reproducible, luck can't be forced. I'd value the former two, but I'd sure be more sad to waste lighting in a bottle.

The sacrifice would be worse because I’d probably not be able to get it back and it would all have been for nothing.

Definitely , sacrificed for. Because Sacrifice has a connotation of losing something in order to create something
