Scenario: your partner cooks breakfast for you but it tastes like hell. How do you react? Do you eat it anyways bc you value their efforts? Or do you leave it and tell them it tastes awful?

I mean, unless it was so heinous it made me gag I would eat it, and I would thank them and tell them how gOOD tHEY aRE tO me and MAKE SURE they know I don't expect them to cook me food. But I'd be conflicted after that, because I'm not 100% sure I know when things taste good anyway. Maybe I'd just make some suggestions next time they cook.

Probably the latter but thank them for trying and return the favour the next morning (but actually do a good job).

My ex made us eggs every morning. But I am deathly allergic. I didnt want her to think I was lying and thought she was a bad cook so I ate them every morning and spent every afternoon on the toilet doing awful things

I say the truth, it is not good and that I appreciate the effort nevertheless. It might be a bit sad and disappointing but my partner will understand that a pinch of salt is a huge difference! :D

first and foremost I would have thanked them for cooking a hot min ago. but when I am actually in the process of tasting it I would say "I think it could use more _____"

I graciously eat it and thank them. Then some time later, when they offer to do it again, I’ll make some suggestions.

Start crying then when she asks why the tears, tell her its bc its soo good that imma save it for later. Then throw it in a plant pot somewhere

I wouldn't use the word awful, but whatever it was I didn't like I would offer something for improvement, more seasoning, cooked longer, whatever - I STG some of ya'll will half choke to death before you communicate that something is wrong and then get mad when people do nothing - ASK for what you want JFC

I might eat a bit of it and then offer to cook breakfast with them the next time.
