Really there's no way to really pre-emptively know who's 'wrong', finding that out is part of the process and all, you can't tell yourself how to feel, the feelings just come - it's what you do with those feelings that matters

Follow intuition

This is easy. Stay at home and avoid seeing anybody. But that isn't only the method for avoiding the wrong person, it is a sure method to become unhappy as well. Love and life are risky businesses I fear.

Value the opinions of people you trust when they have reservations about a partner - take it with a pinch of salt, but understand that people who care about you wouldn't risk upsetting you likely to tell you concerns. I think if concerns are shared between friends and family - it should be taken seriously.

Just observe them and watch out for yellow (not red) flags (I don't know what exactly are those, so you need to follow your sixth sense)
