Would you define human history as more progressive or cyclical?

both, it's a downward spiral going all the way up to the top



I think it's mostly moving in the right direction. Wars are becoming fewer. Arbitrary mistreatment of various classes of people is improving. Technology presents new problems/challenges, but it also solves a great deal.


It has aspects of both--kinda. I think there's a large degree to which "history repeats itself", but I don't see it as cyclical so much as events and progressions (with an eventual end such as a revolution) repeating themselves at different places at diffe
