When you're knowing someone, How long would you say you have to wait to know their true colors?

Oh.. well getting to know someone might be not an linear progression, you might dive deep into some aspects and only be shallow on others. So time might be the wrong measure. Probably you should think about how well, deep and broad you might get to know someone, and if you have any interest in all the aspects? We like people for the things they show us we like, not for the things they show too, but we are not as much interested to know. A workmate said to me: I think we are close friends when it comes to the subject of structural analysis, but I do not understand your passion for those books you are reading and we better do not deepen that as it would require me to be well behaved while I cannot truely simulate interest and I do not like to lie to you. That was blunt, but also revealing I think. But, it allowed me to see a little behind the curtain, but not much.
