ok, so Lan is short or "Lanthus" which was a character name I picked up for roleplaying games later in life I found out that not only is that a name of a character in Runescape, but its also a scientific classification. As for my other handle my real name is Jim, I decided on the feminine form "Gem" because some internet friends used to call me "momma" and "momma Jim" didn't feel right.
