Under the assumption that deities exist, what seems more likely to you: monotheism or polytheism?

Polytheism. gestures at everything this just doesn't seem well coordinated enough for one entity to be fully responsible for all of it.

Everybody who experienced "holy" appearances tells you about how many different characters caused it, even the monotheistic members of any religion. The flock of "holy" men and women in any of the christian religions is telltale.

I'm going with poly, just about every mythology has gods that are every bit as petty and narcissistic, and fight with each other over the same dumb shit mankind does, that makes more sense to me, though I can be talked out of it I'm sure

Monotheism, because I see God as all-encompassing, utterly complete ("everything that is, everything that is not, and everything in between"), but there are probably also beings that aren't the God but are powerful enough to be regarded as "gods", so both are probably true but in different senses.
