Could their be circumstances under which recreational slaughter of fellow human beings is morally justified?

If by fellow human beings you mean gang members, rapists, animal abusers, and people who vape then yes absolutely

I don't think so. Not because the people don't necessarily "deserve it", lots of people are awful and their deaths may well be for the benefit of society. I say no mostly out of a need to preserve our own humanity. I think once anyone gets a taste of killing, especially if it's intentional and on a mass-scale, they've lost any claims to moral and virtuous humanity in my eyes.

Not even if we look at Armin Meiwes case for example, were the "victim" wanted to be eaten alive and slaughtered. Because we should not make our own rules, also not live my man-made rules if they are unethical. Moral choices just always be in accordance with the highest of truths. Difficult, because people don't know what that is exactly but they must feel that it is not in the slightest okay to slaughter fellow human beings for pleasure, even if they want that.
