More than zero.
More than 2. We need a rate of 2.1 to grow... but I think it would be good if we stop growing for a few decades.

I think there is no fixed number. But I would say that there is another limit in the top region. When the body of mum becomes unhealthy and weak.
To name a celeb who I think broke that limit is probably Mrs. Oliver. Too many pregnancies? Just a guess.
Well she appears to me rather like a grandmum of the children than their mum. Sorry, no insult, but she looks as if she had years of severe illness.
And from what can be seen on telly I would dare say she never smiles from her heart? I automatically attributed it to the crowd of kids but that might be false.

That is true. I knew an Irish girl who got 12 kids after her marriage and they needed all support by relatives in Australia and the US.
When I asked why she didn't stop when it was getting impossible to make ends meet the answer was: It's normal. - SIGH*
