I do support piracy. I don't care how people access the music. No one was screaming about piracy when they were all cheering qdeoks had come back. Or when bts releases cd only tracks like sea or the 3 from proof. Army has always pirated things, that's common knowledge, y'all are just making a big deal out of it now that you are linking it to the boycott.

Not streaming is not sabatoging their music. The value of art is not determined by how many views it has or how many times you incessantly play it over and over to break some record no one actually cares about. Did their music have less value when they were just startiing? What about before debut when they were writing desperarely unsure if anyone would hear it? Would you like tell debut bangtan that their music has no value because the streams are low?

Their love language is heard loud and clear by the people who listen to their music and read their lyrics. Have you listened to Yoongi lately? About how he literally calls out streaming culture? About how people decide what is true based on what makes them comfortable? Perhaps you should read the lyrics of d-day and have a good long think about what you think, genuinely think, yoongi or any of the boys would say if you told them what anti-boycott people are doing to palastinians and pro-pal armys. The boys I love wouldn't be proud of that.

Also, how many times do I have to say that scotter and the boys aren't the same???? Bts does not equal scooter or hybe. They have nothing to do with his position there, that's hybes deal. Are you being purposefully obtuse? Why does everything come down to hating the boys? Why can't you, for a few minutes, remove them from the equation and think about hybe alone. This a hybe boycott, not a bts boycott. I am tired of repeating myself, as is every boycott army.

No one is hating on bts and to suggest boycotters are is willful ignorance on your part. If you'd been meaningfully engaging, or engaging at all, with the boycott, you'd know that it is happening because we love bts and we don't want their legacy tainted with scooters bullshit any more than it already has been.

Also, don't come in here with accusations that don't apply to me. I never said a fucking thing about hobis video, though it does make me uncomfortable because I am staunchly anti military and have been my entire life. I don't want ANYONE to mimic using a weapon in a fucking military uniform—that context is important. I have also nor criticized bts. Hybe is not bts, or did you forget that? They are two separate entities and I can and will fucking call hybe out for what they're doing like I would any other company because that's what they are: a company.

When have I hated on bts? By this point, it's willfull ignorance to say that boycotters are trying to harm bts or hate bts. We are doing this because we love them. Does boycotting starbucks and macdonalds and all the other companies mean that i hate the people who work there? Obviously not.

Bts' legacy, the company they built, currently has a CEO that actively supports and excuses genocide. He is using their money, their platform, to spread that hateful information. There isn't some magical separation between hybe korea and hybe america, scotter has shown that himself by taunting us with pictures from his meetings in korea. What he does affects bts, period, and we want that to stop. Since hybe is a company like any other, the way to do that is by hitting their pocket book. This could have been over so long ago if people banded together but instead there's all these accusations of being an anti and such bullshit misinformation being spread that means this will drag out.

Also an important distinction is that I am not using the (very limited) money I make from my fics to support genocide. I am not bankrolling a bullshit October 7th reenactment like Scooter is. This isn't about if bts makes money from streams and to suggest it is shows that you aren't truly engaging with the boycott discussion.
