Do you know a person who is too proud to say "Thank you"?

That would imply the proud person had been able to ask for something in the first place. Asking can be hard.. If there is a history of receiving no's or other forms of shaming. Thus the pride is erected to protect the self. I would hope that pride can dissipate if needs are met. It not then it has morphed into something else like arrogance and vanity or narcissism.
