How would your parents react if you told them you were gay?

well my mum was very unsurprised, I haven't explicitly told dad but I don't imagine he'd be any more weirded out about it

I’m sure my mom would try to “ungay” me. My dad would just probably be angry and resentful.

Look at me funny, seeing how I've been married to a man for over 4 years now. And had his child.

If I were gay, I believe nothing would change except getting some snark from my mom on why I weren't able to get a GF in high school for more than a year.

I don't know how my dad would react, he's never said anything about gay people. My mom thinks being gay is a sin and that it's weird, but she might basically accept it. She says we're all sinners. She might question me how I'm sure I'm gay or why I suddenly decided I'm gay at 41 or try a little bit to convince me that I'm not. My dad would also probably think it's strange that I'd come out as gay so late in my life, especially since I've had girlfriends and have never expressed interest in guys.

The same way I'd imagine they'd react to the truth, which is that I'm bi. They're very religious which often comes hand in hand with homophobia, so I'd assume they'd grow angry and accuse me of being sick and disgusting. I don't think I'll ever come out to either of them, it just spares me a lot of trouble to hide it.

I can't imagine it would change anything for her, except that I'd be going to Double Secret Super Hell instead of just Standard Hell
