Hello. Have you ever witnessed a hurricane?
Anything above a Category 3 means board up and EVACUATE-I've been through 2 and run off from more. (Rain & Wind Damages EVERYTHING that has a weak structure). WORST part is flooding and power loss (ESPECIALLY during the summer heat). Having to stock up on supplies/BoardUp are primary reactions.SCARIEST moment was when a Cat 4- was headed towards our home town-It hit an hour above. (Knowing everything you worked for could be just wiped out of existence is honestly heart wrenching). Having to constantly check weather updates and advisories for when it's finally safe to go back home is another concern. Just because all people aren't great and anyone could take advantage and vandalize or steal. We don't get them in the UK but we have a storm going on now
No, I live on the earthquake side of the US.
Hurricane Andrew was a Category 5 storm, and the biggest natural disaster to hit the US at its time. The eye of it passed about 5 miles away from our house. The destruction was uncanny. In a neighborhood previously filled with trees, you could see for miles. Parts of houses were broken and cars were flipped over just on our street. We went without power for 2 months.
Nah, we don't get them here.
