Yeah, it'd be a start if people stopped mocking and punishing survivors and victims though. I've seen a lot of people in my own community speak out and name abusers in the last couple of years, and they're still being punished for it. Treated like they're toxic because they called out someone's buddy, and rumors spread about them everywhere. I've seen places ban guys for stealing, or doing drugs on the property, but have seen people who have beaten or raped other people at those same establishments, just hanging out, with no action being taken.

Its India. It doesn't excuse it, but it does explain it.
