Do you think being a school teacher is a hard job?

Of course. Probably it might even be a dangerous job in the US because of school shootings ...

🤔🍷depends... not all schools are created equal. There's something about every job in existence that has its downs and up. Surely everyone at one point feels underappreciated and overworked. Props to those who keep at it and do it because it's truly their passion

God, yes. I think teachers deserve far more recognition for what they do - that includes monetarily too.

I do. They really should be paid better. Teachers barely make enough to cover basic living expenses and are still expected to pay out of pocket for supplies.

50% of the profession drops out before the 5th year. I myself wondered for the first three years or so ( and on really hard days still do) what the heck I’d gotten myself into.

Yes. I taught myself for a while and the age range was between 14 and 20. The instant hate by the teenagers was like thick air. They hate everything but their damn smartphones.
