How do you know if you are really smart and knowledgeable or if you suffer from the Dunning-Krüger-Effect?

If you can't see how much further there is to go, to know even a small blip of anything. Because learning is endless. I think the smarter, the more people realise they don't know

The way it should world is, the smarter you are, the more you realize just how little you know

...I wait until the result of tests and coursework before thinking I know the grade? (Don't get me wrong, I'll submit when I think its met the criteria, but I won't ever try and predict my grade - its a recipe for disappointment).
