How do you feel about incest being illegal?
In a family you may question that a mutual attraction is without huge power differences and therefore not a thing of a free will. I think that is the main reason for it being illegal. It is there to protect the weak from the powerful. Otherwise it is a law that also wants to prevent problems with genetics and finances and wants to set a rule that prevents other people from feeling disgusted.
There's nothing wrong with consensual, non-reproductive incest. It shouldn't be illegal. As long as it's consensual and people aren't inbreeding, people need to mind their own business. No victim = no crime. Just because you don't like something or think it's gross doesn't mean it's objectively bad. Harmless incest isn't a problem. People wanting to ban things they personally don't like are a problem. People are indoctrinated by society to hate incest and be repulsed by it and they never question their attitude toward it. People are irrational and prejudiced about incest. Society is retarded when it comes to sexuality. Here's a video titled "Is incest really that bad? (A theoretical conversation): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88WojS-T6-g
I feel just fine about it being illegal tbh, but I think laws concerning rape, abuse and incest need to amended as some of them create loopholes which essentially allow some rapists to get off with a lesser charge and sentence than they would have if they'd raped and abused someone they weren't related to.
I'm fine with it being illegal.
It should be legal for brothers & sisters (isn't it already?), it's a victimless crime and we shouldn't try to control who gets to have sex or how just because we're personally disgusted by it. Going by that logic gay sex would still be illegal.
For parent and son/daughter sex it's a little more tricky. Sometimes it's just harmless, kinky fun and sometimes the power/authority balance plays into it too much--especially when the son/daughter is under age, but that's already covered by "statutory rape" laws. I think the age of consent should be younger, but maybe not for parent/child incest. It sucks to tell fully consenting people they can't have sex, but maybe it's necessary to protect those who aren't actually fully consenting.
But given that the age of consent isn't going to change any time soon, do we really need separate laws to prevent parents and sons/daughters from having sex at ages 18 and over? I don't know, I'd have to hear more people's stories to know that.
I also think the laws for "statutory rape" and incest should be different for girls vs boys, because sexuality means very differe t things for girls vs boys and the social dynamics of it are different, but I know that won't happen any time soon because society isn't ready to face that fact and everyone would have conniptions.
It is the right thing. There is already too much sexuality going on in the world. I had talks with a woman who had sex with her own sister and their relationship is shattered. On the telephone (Jürgen Domian) a woman told what she once saw in the living room of somebody. A young girl, four years of age, played with the erect penis of her uncle and was laughing while she was doing it. Her reaction was the reason why nobody had a problem with her uncles disgusting game. On Kiwi, I saw a video of a mother (I believe) performing sexual acts on her little son. Son seemed not to be impressed at all. Perversion, danger, wrongdoing, again diving with all might into the sexual realm which has the power to lead us to so much suffering and nobody is protected, there are no boundaries. Let us make incest legal. Hell, no. If we do, we might open Pandora's box.
