What are some of your favorite local restaurants and what do you usually get there?
Baan Thai- all of their food is wonderful. Love their curries. Al Pho- mixed pho and the vermicelli bowls. Las Comadres- loroco pupusa, chicken veggie tamales, and fried plantains. Lily’s Taqueria- all the tacos are exceptional but my favorite are beef cabeza and tripas. The Empty Bowl (Thai)- Everything— especially the pad Thai and drunken noodles.
Blah, I don't even know what local is anymore...In NH (I guess technically it's on the MA side but still) I like Mr. Macs but I don't really have a regular, was still kinda going through all the various flavors of mac and cheese they have/had available...Pressed Cafe is pretty good if you're wanting a panini and/or a smoothie, there's a place called chicken-n-chips or something like that? I always got it delivered so I never actually went inside...anyway I recall enjoying the wings there
There is a Thai style takeaway and a Greek restaurant close. I like the Thai curries and the Greek BBQ food.
I'm not a restaurant person on the three occasions I've been to Pizza Express this has been my experience; https://www.gocomics.com/pearlsbeforeswine/2018/12/23 the Maitre’d is looks at you in disbelief and starts looking around you just in case you’re hiding someone. You’re then led to a table that’s as far away from other people, doors and windows as possible!
There is a really lovely greek restaurant not to far from me (certainly worth the journey). Its the only restaurant I've been to for a long time where I can say everything was nice and better than I could do at home (even things like chips). Plus the greek are really friendly and generous hosts. They treated us to some free ouzo and wine last time I went.
