Besides healthcare, what's something you wouldn't mind paying a little more taxes for if your government provided it probono?
Childcare. The massive benefits to the economy cannot be overstated. There would less discrimination in employment against women of childbearing age (not even just mothers) if employers knew that wouldn't be an issue. The amount of extra workers in employment can only be a massive benefit to society
If it wasn't mandatory, I wouldn't pay a single dime to the government. They use our money to indoctrinate kids, to brainwash people, and to make our lives a living hell. No one in good conscience should voluntarily give money to this government. Just minutes ago I read on Twitter that a 20 year old man was brutally killed because of his sexuality. Yesterday his brother and cousins slit his throat and left his body under a tree to rot only because he expressed that he was gay. I would never want to give money to a system that creates these monsters. I'm so pissed right now TBH ...
a little more taxes <>probono? Thing is we have a healthcare system based on a sort of tax but I would pay a little more if they would strictly publish any and all donations for parties and individual politicians and make a public list of the companies and individuals who pay politicians any sum. As I see it I also pay with my taxes for their generous income and demand that they do what I want, not what a wealthy company wants them to do on behalf of them in the shades. And the anti corruption law has to be more strict and have an entry sentence of jail of at least 1 year in prison which would cost them the ability to apply for any political office or be able to be a candidate.
We get taxed a lot in the UK so we have a lot of things provided by the government (some great, some a complete waste of money)... but I think at some point a universal provision of internet might be a good idea (so long as its is only sponsored by governments, not controlled) so that anyone can access online services.
public housing and colleges, there is too much damn real estate for there to be tent cities downtown
