Is it worth dating someone with bipolar disorder? I'm not sure I can ride that rollercoaster again.

I've had enough relationships to know I just want a chill time with someone. Sanity over love.

It can be, if they are seeking help and aren't just self-diagnosing and self-medicating - we all got our various shit we're dealing with, I mean not me I am perfect but still

Only if they're really cute.

(Disclaimer: I've never dated someone with bipolar disorder. Though I did see a girl a few times who I knew had it and she was so pretty I so would've dated her. hehe.)

This is difficult. From personal experience, like yourself, I could never do it again. But I think the issue with my relationship with was and this might be a controversial thing to say, is that he seemed to indulge in his disorder. Considered it romantic to push me away and strain the relationship and then come to fight for us again.

It was a nightmare. So in short, for me, it really isn't worth it.

I would say it could work if you like both sides. If you only like one of them you need to be a bit on the masochistic side?

if you have to ask, you're probably not going to be the best partner for someone with a mental health issue. your ex was also a shitty and narcissistic person; doesn't mean everyone with bipolar disorder has those same qualities
