Its accurate, but I think you have to consider the two different personality types involved there. The selfie lady is usually somebody who is fairly extroverted and has hundreds of friends on social media, whereas the artistic types often keep much more to themselves and therefore have smaller social circles.
You have exceptions, of course.
It is not only that sex sells, it is the general publics bad taste that buys.
mmm Girl with the fake hair and tits got more attention than the plain girl with actual artistic ability. seems like an accurate representation of society.. How do u like that analysis dragon lady? :)
I can see how it would be frustrating for the artist to put in all that effort and talent and create something beautiful when all the other person has to do is show off her body and get more attention. But life isn't fair, it never has been. And I don't think it's necessarily the fault of the viewers, because they're appreciating beauty/value either way. In the case of person showing off her body, her body is just as beautiful as art, but it happens to be living art as well. An actual, full human being instead of something motionless on a 2-D canvas. And it has much more value because of its potential to bring people great joy (if they're lucky enough to have sex or whatever with her). So basically the talented artist just had bad luck not being beautiful instead, at least as far as Facebook likes go, not counting all the other variables that might make the life of a model better or worse than the life of a starving artist.
This is very telling. I know weāre supposed to feel sorry for the poor under-appreciated artist because sheās put so much time and effort into making her picture and nobody cares. Probably almost as much time, in fact, as the other one spent on primping herself (that hair doesnāt do itself you know), taking the 500 selfies she needed to get one that looked just right, the time she spent Photoshopping/Facetuning it to within an inch of its life, the posting of it all over the internet, not to mention the anxious hours waiting for the validation to pour in. All that AND she still had time to paint a crap picture of a pile of crap. AND ALL FOR THE LIKES! But. If the āIām-a-tortured-artist-I-donāt-do-it-for-the-likesā person really didnāt do it for the likes, then she would not be complaining when she didnāt get as many as she thought she deserved. So. Theyāre BOTH doing it for the likes. And as much as Miss TA (Tortured Artist) thinks sheās more deserving; Miss T&A gets all the attention because sheās wearing a push-up bra. BUT. In a few years time, when Miss T&Aās t&a arenāt quite as firm and pert as they once were, her hair has fallen out because of all that green dye, and nobody wants to see her ageing assets any more, Little Miss TAās talents will only have improved.
O, I see, she plagiarized the art of a film but 15 ppl didn't notice because she has inconspicuous hair. But 600 ppl didn't notice the other gril plagiarized the poop emoji bc she obscured most of her painting with her conspicuous hair. What we are meant to take away: dye your hair. Good a r t advice

I somehow amazingly deduced that this was by an artist feeling underappreciated, so I popped over to that insta page to confirm. Anyway I don't much know what to say, this is the world in which we live now - quick, someone tell me how I can blame this on Trump
