Watched "The Queen's Gambit"? I haven't played chess for years. When I was a kid, I used to play it with my friends and I would usually win but there was one kid that would defeat me every time we played.

I don't know if it's a good measure of one's overall intelligence [overall intelligence?! What does that even mean?!] but good chess players can better think ahead and plan?
