As you might've heard in the news, the Chinese government has corralled many Uighurs into re-education camps and forced lots of them into labor. Would you knowingly buy goods and services produced by forced labor?

Definitely not. At least, not knowingly. But that’s easier said than done sometimes, especially with things made in far away places where workers’ rights aren’t a high a priority. I won’t buy anything from Primark (or any of those really cheap clothes shops) because their stuff is cheap at the expense of the poor folk who make it. Maybe not truly ‘forced labour’, but not far off it most of the time.

I'd like to say no ... i don't even purchase from companies after learning that their executives are homophobic. but i am also not always the most ethical consumer (i use amazon prime, bleh)

I would not and I'm disgusted by some of these people turning a blind eye to it. I heard an executive from Volkswagen outright deny that was happening to a reporter because acknowledging it would've hurt his business relationships. This is no different than what's been happening in Africa with blood diamonds or the rare earths trade.

I wouldn't, but tbh there is almost no good that isn't, or contains products, made in China, so how can you be sure?

Nah b, I try to avoid stuff made in China anyway so this just gives me another reason to not buy their cheap shitty products that they just copied in the first place
