"... Many black rappers make derogatory comments about women yet you don't see a whole lot of people that are trying to cancel them." Thoughts?

Subculture bubble. Any oppressed subculture develops male dominated and female devaluing cultural traits. You provide yourself with a sense of pride and strength by dominating the next possible easy to bully sort of persons.

Cancel culture 🙄.... society is trying to erase some parts of history... guess "ignorance" is bliss. Even Spongebob Squarepants has to have a censor https://youtu.be/4C4IXJ6CuwI

Do they WANT misogynistic rappers to be canceled? sheesh. I think that not every single problematic behavior is worth the time and energy

That may have been true in the past, but I don't think that's the case today. For example the NWA movie received a lot of negative backlash because Dr Dre had a history of domestic violence against women. Eminem was constantly bashed throughout his entire career for including homophobic lyrics in his music. Dave Chappelle was "cancelled" over some transgender jokes he made, and Kevin Hart couldn't host the emmy's after old tweets of him saying "homophobic" comments. Nobody's safe from this cancer unfortunately.

In my opinion, it's because they got bigger white fish to fry and don't care about it.

this is usually the kind of 'what about [X]' question people ask when they are looking for a distraction or an excuse for what they engage in - like when white people say 'well black people use the n word, why can't I?' or 'blah blah gun violence in Chicago' or whatever it is this week, they do not care whatsoever about it, it's merely a tactic to silence dissent
