What do you think about Islamophobia?

Oh well. The regions where islamophobia is so prevalent have the lowest islamic share of people. In general around here more than 99 per cent of all murders are commited by good old christians.

Ridiculous. I think it’s ludicrous to attack one religion— religious extremes are dangerous no matter the faith/religion.

It's dumb and rooted in racism like everything else around here - nobody holds all of Christianity as responsible when the Christian white man shoots up the synagogue or abortion clinic or whatever - it's just kind of assumed that he's an radical outlier. So why don't brown people get the same assumption?

I can understand why its a thing, but its silly to tar people with the same brush.

I think it's half just a buzzword virtue signalers use to dismiss some very valid concerns people have about Islamic religious fanaticism. I mostly agree that Islamic fundamentalism is incompatible with Western culture. Which isn't to say people from Muslim backgrounds can't assimilate or are capable be of being decent people.

On the other hand, there is a lot of uninformed Islamic resentment that borders on xenophobia. This idea that if we let in Syrian refugees the US will become a Sharia Law abiding caliphate is stupid and navitist.
