Have you ever experienced a hallucination?
Yes, hypnagogic hallucinations. I usually see spiders, but once saw a disembodied hand chilling out on my bookcase.
When I was psychotic for the first time at age 21 or 22, I heard a voice three different times. Clear as a bell, but I could tell somehow it was only happening in my head. The first time it was an androgynous voice that said, when I was near the point of collapsing due to psychic exhaustion, "The power of the gods is in the archetypes." The other two were helpful (and maybe that one was too, I dunno). One of the other two apparently knew things about the future or at least knew things I didn't. Oh, and I also had an olfactory hallucination during that period where I could smell a smell with my entire body. It smelled like "the beginning of the beginning", or like the purest blue astral flower you could imagine.
Possible that I heard things that weren't there and I had a sleep paralysis once if all of that counts, but I guess not so nah.
yeah, I once woke up suddenly, right out of deep sleep I believe and I had trouble making sense out of a lamp near my bed, and heard a audible hallucination coming from where you'd experience your inside voice that shook me to the core.
pretty fascinating stuff, I believe that's a common phenomena kind of related to how scizophrenia works.
Really often when I got fever ... I repeatedly had the hallucination that my bedsheet turned into a flock of rats, the dark rats formed out of the shadows of the wrinkles in the sheet. .. and there were others....
