Get to a public toilet. Remove what you can and wring it out into the sink. Dry yourself as much as you can with toilet paper/paper towels. Then use the electric hand dryer (if there is one) to dry what you can.

That’s one of my favorite memories when I was researching in Brazil. It was dark and we were walking to our hotel from USP. Suddenly, there was a storm and we all got soaked and I said how I always wished to stay out during the rain instead of taking shelter so we just walked around and it was amazing.

Try to get home ASAP and put some dry clothes on

Go home. Soaked.

I guess I'd be wet.

When the clothes are already soaking wet I would pull them off and squeeze the water out. Depending on ambient temperature it could be a good idea to either try to rub your body a bit dryer or to dress again with the damp clothes.

I start saying 'lovely weather' to passerbys.
